Sourcemap.org: Transparency, Sustainability and Logistics in the Age of
Crowdsourcing

Supply chains touch the lives of every individual on Earth - how can we
engage as many of these participants in the pursuit of more sustainable
practices? This presentation introduces Sourcemap.org, an open source effort
to increase transparency and traceability in the pursuit of economically,
socially and environmentally sustainable supply chains. I will discuss the
application of free and open source software and linked data principles to
improving communications around issues of sustainability. Case studies will
be presented, including communities of web users and open source developers,
small and medium-sized enterprises (SME's), regional governments and
logistics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) professionals.

Leonardo Bonanni is a PhD candidate at the MIT Media Lab and Founder of
